Grow Your West Coast Swing!
With decades of experience teaching West Coast Swing here in Huntsville, we know that one of the greatest challenges dancers of all levels face is knowing how to progress. With this in mind, we’ve styled our dance classes after a martial arts dojo to provide a clear, understandable path of progression for our students.
We are passionate about helping everyone grow their West Coast Swing, no matter their level of experience. If you’re new to West Coast, or even to partnered social dancing, you’re in the right place. Come join our progressive classes, and start your dance journey today!
6:00-7:00pm
Students of all levels can attend this class to build on the basics they’ve learned from our progressive fundamentals lessons on Tuesday nights. This is a great place to start learning West Coast, or to build on what you already know!
6:00-7:00pm
At the same time as our all-levels class, we teach a more advanced class covering similar topics at a more advanced level. Students attending this class are expected to already be very confident with their West Coast technique.
7:00-8:00pm
After class, both our all-levels and intermediate students come together for an hour of guided practice, dancing to music with each other and our instructors. This gives everyone a great chance to get the practice time they need to make sure new patterns and skills are applied and retained.

I’ve never danced before. Is West Coast Swing a good style to start with?
Yes! West Coast is a deeply rewarding style, with years of learning and practice in store for you. But you don’t need years of experience to start having fun! West Coast is most notable for its versatility, and after just your first month of classes, you’ll be ready and able to dance to many of the popular songs you listen to every day.
Do I need to buy special shoes to attend your classes?
Not until you want to! That said, we recommend that you avoid wearing shoes with high-traction soles like rubber. You’ll want to be able to turn in place easily, without twisting your ankles.
Do I need to bring a partner to class?
Nope! You’re more than welcome to attend classes by yourself. We rotate partners during class to ensure that everyone learns together.
How much do classes cost, and where are you located?
Our classes are $22 per day, or $80 for a month of four classes. We teach classes at Mill Kat Healing Arts.
How do I register for classes?
Visit our registration page, or just fill out our contact form and let us know when you’d like to start classes! We accept payment for classes online, or in person just before classes start.
